World Wide Web evolves sharing data based on speed rather than security. Personal data and privacy protection is a fundamental human right and is governed by relevant legislation. Every day we share on the net valuable data that characterizes us, such as connection mode, personal information, purchases, online transactions and conversations. These reasons above are considered as important for taking appropriate protection measures. We learn to use properly free/open source tools and applications and we use encryption for freedom of speech and a strong level of security. We support anonymity as a right of freedom of expression in digital media.

You'd like to learn how simple using encryption is? Then come to the CryptoParty and let's encrypt everything! No prior knowledge required. Curiosity, wanting to learn, asking questions is all that's needed. Bringing your laptop or smartphone would be useful. CryptoParties are always for free. No registration required.
CryptoParty is a decentralized movement with events happening all over the world. The goal is to pass on knowledge about protecting yourself in the digital space. This can include encrypted communication, preventing being tracked while browsing the web, and general security advice regarding computers and smartphones.
CryptoParties are free and open for everyone, but especially those without prior knowledge, who haven't yet attended one. 'It's really important to remember that we don't need leaders, to guide us or tell us what to do.. We need each other. We need community!' xychelsea
