“Organise organically and chaotically. Have no clear leadership. Urge people to take on a sudo leadership role.”
Intro
Learn to protect yourself and others online!
Governments around the world, are greatly increasing their surveillance of the Internet. This also represents a clear danger to basic civil liberties alongside the loss of the private sphere. We already have the solution: encrypting communications makes it very hard, if not entirely impossible, for others to eavesdrop on our conversations.“ (Source)
So let's go and have a party, and teach each other how to use crypto! Cause its also fun to play around, and shape the place you are living in!
What?
- sva will give an introduction into basic usage principles of encryption and some of the usual ways to encrypt communication online.
- have your hands-on all your devices, install software, generate keys and learn how to use them. Be surprised how easy some things are; but you might also start ranting about some others and start thinking about how to make it better. We are the ones how can actually do that.
- Special challenge for late night geeking, if someone is up for: PGP/GPG subkey management…
